The Creation of events are now live and ready to go!

everyone feel free to start putting your events in the calendar again. If you already created an event and you would like to remake it feel free, if you don't care, then don't worry about it :)

Notes and Tips about our event system

    • Events can be created in two places, either on the calendar itself or in this forum here. Just click the button that says "Post New Event" on the right hand side of your page. Both options do the same exact thing and will give you the same result.
    • Upcoming Events for the next X days. At the top of the page it shows all events for the next couple of days. Currently it is set at 4 days. This may change as we progress and we see if we need to raise or lower the amount of days it displays at the very top
    • When you create an event it automatically creates a thread in this forum. If you do not want it to create a thread where people can reply to it just uncheck the box that says "Create Event Thread"
    • You can not limit how many people RSVP (signup) to your event. If this event is for a raid or an event that is limited as to how many people will be able to participate please say so in your evevt description.
    • Threads will automatically show the Game, Division, and Date of the event. Do not put any of these things in the event title. This is done without you needing to do anything special. (Except for the next bullet ;) )
    • Game & Division Name | Format = Game: Pax Division : Please use the format shown and please use your games acronym (SW:TOR, GW2, TSW, STO, etc) This will help keep thethread titles a little shorter. After you put your games acronym put your division name. Examples of how it should look in the box. SW:swtor: Pax Imperius, SW:swtor: Pax Dominus, STO: Pax Infinitus, and so on. This will also help all of the threads look uniform with each other make it easier for those who are looking for a specific division find it much easier.
    • You can not create threads in this forum, the only option you have is to create events here. If for some reason you feel like you need to create a thread feel free to contact a member of the Inner Sanctum or Hierarch and we will be able to enable it for you and then turn it back off after you are finished.
If anyone has any questions regarding the events application or events forum feel free to reply to this thread. If there are any questions that I didn't address above I will create a F.A.Q. in the reply below this.

    Event Forum F.A.Q.
When people signup for events in what order does it list them?
Currently it shows then in alphabetical order. Unfortunately I have not found out a way to set them in some type of chronological order. Until we do, you will have to ask members to post in the event thread that they signed up for the event so we can see some type of order.

    Removed the Recurring events.

Unfortunately they did not work the way we would have liked them to. When a recurring event was created it would create 1 event thread for all of the events to share, meaning if you had a recurring raid that you did every week it would only have one thread for all of those raids to share. Since we need to also reply to the threads for our raid signups we needed to remove this feature until further notice.

Can we have had old events automatically delete or move to an "archive" sub-forum?

Nope, at least not with the current events mod. :( For now, at least until we find a solution we're going to have to just manually delete the old events once they pass.
