For those of us that hit the mmorpg ground running with EQ and to those that may be interested in what imho is still one of the most amazing games out there.

Thanks @Malaiit PerVida! This was my first MMORPG as well; discounting MUDs. Lots of memories brought back with that video.

If anyone is interested in playing again I would not mind hanging out with a few people here in there

I loaded it up maybe a year ago I think, and I couldn't do it. I'm not one for fancy graphics by any means, and will typically play any game on the lowest setting, but it was just too visually unappealing for me. The game, while leaving an amazingly lasting impression of grandeur that's great to reminisce upon, will have to stay as a fleeting memory of something from the past. If you can still load it up and relive the past, then kudos to you. I wish I could.

I do remember the graphics being better but man love the game play and the strategy involved. the do or die even though that has gotten easier as well. I do know what you mean there are games I used to play that will not today but for some reason EQ has held its sway for me

I will admit WoW was my first MMO but I have played both eq's. The only real thing that kept me from playing eq more was the dated graphics. Not that wow's graphics is any better. But I think it has aged a little bit better than eq. If Daybreak were to do something with the graphics of eq to make it better I would definitely hive it another look.
