Hey people, I've compiled a list of what I consider essential, or at least REALLY useful addons, and where to get them. If anyone here has any other addons they use and would recommend, I'll look at them and post them after evaluating

    Where???? - http://esoui.com/addons.php

ESOUI.com is probably one of the best addon websites I've seen for any game. Not only are the mods often updated, they use an awesome (optional) program called Minion. Minion works like Curse client, but just... feels better. And it doesn't have the stigma of having been compromised horribly in the past.

    Addons

    Guild Notificator -
This addon does what Zenimax seems to have simply forgotten. The ability to see when guild members login and log out. You can change which guilds show the messages, and colour code the notifications. Absolutely essential in a guild, especially if you spend three or four paragraphs explaining something to someone who's logged off before you started talking (guilty)

    Lorebooks, Skyshards, Destinations, Lost Treasure

These four addons are what I like to call 'exploration killers'... but at the same time, they're essential for when you just want to find what you need on the map. Each one adds various destinations to your compass and map, showing you where stuff is. If you're a completionist and JUST WANT TO FIND THAT LAST DOOHICKEY, then these are essential. I tend to turn them off the first time around, then turn them on when I'm done a zone and want to see what I missed.

    HarvestMap

This fantastic addon doesn't scan for existing stuff, but what it DOES do is remember every place that you've harvested. You can always go back and see if something respawned.

    AI Research Grid

Ever had to go back to the crafting table to remember which items you didn't have research for? This addon lets you check without doing that, tracking which traits you've researched across all three equipment tradeskills.

    AUI - Advanced UI

I have to confess no familiarity with this particular addon, but it comes highly recommended as one of the best ways to mess around with your UI and move things around to where YOU want them to be.

I'll second the vote for Lorebooks and SkyShards. If I can add to this, I really like the HarvestMap addon. It puts markers on the map where you have gathered crafting materials (as well as treasure chests and lorebooks).

I've got all those, and I recommend AIResearchGrid for the people who are into researching traits for crafting. It will tell you if you already know the trait, and a few extra info. I think it helps alot!

I've been using Advanced UI combined with Interface Enhanced myself to tweak things and keep items displayed in places I want them. It works rather well, I dislike the basic ''minimal'' UI that keeps fading out so this helps me configure specific areas that I want to see, and where I want to see them along with their sizes, textures etc.

Might not be for everyone, but could be used to create your own UI.

My inventory, bank, stores etc. are modded with Inventory Grid + Skin. You can toggle it on and off, but I personally prefer this over the default Inventory.

EDIT: Not really an add-on per say, but I've been spicing up the game's visuals a little using ReShade/SweetFX. The following page has a download for a version that works with ESO, as well as the preset I use: https://sfx.thelazy.net/games/preset/1573/ It doesn't go completely overboard on the effects, but adds some atmosphere, colour and depth to the world.

Surprisingly ESO is one of those games where I have been using the most addons. So what follows is the list I am using and why.

GuildNotificator - I like seeing who is logging in and out for the guilds I am a member of... so I don't try talking at folks who are not there and feeling silly after.

LoreBooks - Mmmm show me the Lore Books on my map pls.

LostTreasure - Mmmm show me my treasure locations on my map pls.

MiniMap - This used to be mimmap by Franklin I believe and has now been taking over by someone else. I hate always having to open my map to see think immediately around me... plus an MMO doesn't feel right without a minimap anymore.

SkyShards - Ummm no miss SkyShards, I need ma skillz !

    Wykkyds Gaming Suite
    - This is a combination of several addons in one download and I love the info bar that tells me how much bag space I have left along with various other info I tend to forget about. Plus I can see what I loot in my chat window !

All the addons can be found on ESOUI and are easy to install by looking in your Documents folder on the computer and going into Elder Scrolls Online>Addons>

Just copy the unzipped folder into the addons directory. I have included the link to the Wykkyds site for folks that want to have a look at that one directly.

    Cheers,

With the new patch and all, I've found that several of my addons will no longer work.
Right now I can't get cooking wizard (sp?), dustman, or some of my Wykkyd stuff to work.
Has anyone else had any issues?
I'm sure this has a lot to do with some of the changes made to inventory.

That's normal after an update of this size. There should be new versions of your addons on esoui that will get them working again.

This is the reason why Minion is so useful. Easy updating of addons... it's glorious. And works for WoW too.

I've been using minion, it turns out it was two addons that were jinxing my setup. It took a while, but I finally got them figured out. It's amazing how one or two addons can totally bork your game.

Sweetfx and ReShade are one big pain in the butt. I managed to get reshade to load, but if I add any folders with textures in them it crashes. Same when trying to add Sweetfx. I have never seen such an assbackwards system before. For the most part everyone has a different way of installing and they don't go into enough detail on how they go about getting it to work. "I installed it in the folder and loaded the blah blah blah" is not very specific. I even went so far as to uninstall the game and install it as a stand alone (not steam) game. It's in the Zenimax folder as if you bought it from them. Other than that, I can get the Reshade overlay to come on, but that's it.
